Silastic® NPC-4鄉志0 and NPC-80

Silicone Rubbers are desi我文gned

as no-post-cure, general-purpose

silicone rubbers. These s知你ilicone

rubbers can be compo生謝unded with

a variety of extendi報媽ng fillers or

blended with selected bases to fabrica輛相te

parts with other hardnesses

upon vulcanization. They樹花 are serviceable

over a wide temperature

range.

HOW TO USE

Vulcanizing Agents

Silastic NPC-40 an高玩d NPC-80 Silicone

Rubbers require the addition of a

vulcanizing agent. T catalyst (2,民兒4-dichlorobenzoyl

peroxide) is reco站到mmended

for hot air vulcanization.

V catalyst (2,5-bis[tert-butylperox藍對y]-

2,5-dimethylhexane) or D ca在金talyst

(dicumyl peroxide) i美動s recommended

for molding.

Compounding

Silastic NPC-40 and NPC-80 Si鐘歌licone

Rubbers can be blended with other

bases and Silastic 照西NPC-40 Silicone

Rubber can be extende紅樹d with

fillers to modify the durometer o村的f

the compounds. Further, Sil林讀astic

NPC-40 and NPC-80 Si謝技licone

Rubbers can be pigm路鐵ented to

almost any color shade desired.

Heat Stability

Addition of Silastic® HT-1 Modifier

(1 phr) or red iron oxide 那文paste (3

phr) is recommended to服吃 improve

heat stability with Silastic NPC-40冷就

and NPC-80 Silicone Rubbers.

Silastic HT-1 Modifie厭劇r allows the

rubbers to be pigmented to almost

any color shade desired機事.

HANDLING

PRECAUTIONS

During vulcanization an都有d oven curing,

vapors are given off that may

be harmful. Inhalation of vapo購匠rs

should be avoided. Vulca兒東nization

should be conducted in an 匠裡area

that is properly ventilated.

80 Silicone Rubbers have a小生 shelf

life of 36 months from date of

manufacture. Refer to product
